Pinching pennies does not always have to be stressful, nor is it something to dread. (Although I have my fair share of both) Going back to school we are forced to count every penny and be careful where it is spent. After we graduate though, I want to continue to be frugal by choice. I have found it to be an adventure and I enjoy the challenge of trying to find cheaper ways to make our money go further.
There are two purchases that I dread when I go to the store. One is toilet paper and the other is laundry detergent. They are expensive and they NEVER last as long as I need them to.
I was watching TLC...18 kids and counting and they showed them making their own laundry detergent. But I have to give credit to my friend who makes her own laundry soap, that gave the courage to attempt my own. I was REALLY skeptical at first, it actually took me several months to get up the nerve to try. Now, I LOVE IT!
My house smells wonderful right now because I just got done making my second batch of laundry detergent. It took me less time to make than running to the store and it costs less than 2 cents per load. Sometimes, cutting corners doesn't always work out but it is always an adventure regardless of the outcome. Being Frugal is Fabulous!

I know what you mean! Things really add up fast when you are poor/ on a budget! Michael works for Melaleuca, so we get the employee $80.00 monthly product check, which covers our laundry and dish soaps, and bath soaps. I don't know what we would do without those free products because they are pricey!
Dude, you didn't provide a recipe! How on Earth do you make laundry soap? I am so curious!
Please tell more I would love to know how to make it myself!!!
