Crazy Day

Last weekend my brother & his wife came up to get their books and take care of a few things to get ready for Spring Semester. They are coming up to BYU-I for this semester so Sonja can graduate sooner. Saturday morning we all went to campus to get our books, when they told Sonja she was no longer a student at BYU-I, even though she was able to register for her classes and planned everything around coming up here for Spring. Long story short...she had to petition to reinstate her as a student. I will let Sonja tell the long version of the story on her blog.
Then we decided to head up to Mesa Falls. It was about an hour drive and we got withing 5 miles of the falls and the roads were still covered in snow and there is no way for us to get to them. HUGE BUMMER!
We didn't let that stop us from having fun. We got to the bottom of the mountain and fed the fish. It's amazing how long you can be entertained by fish. There were a ton and we even saw a couple of pretty big ones. But then we started to get rained on. So we got back in the car...

The gang.

Jared wanted to catch one with his hands.

So did David...

Aunt Sonja & Ellie

It looks like Alysa is standing in the creek.

We weren't ready to head home so we headed back to R mountain. David, Sonja, and Alysa hadn't been hiking up R mountain yet and we had so much fun the last time.

It's not a very fun hike to the top but it's worth it.

Ellie taking a break. Ellie wanted to be one of the big kids and kept trying to climb on all the rocks. I think she made my heart stop a couple of times. She is a little dare devil.

I guess Jared wanted to let everyone know he had been there.

Having fun with daddy...even though Rachel's face doesn't show it.

I wonder how long he would be able to stay up there?

I thought this picture was pretty cool. Rachel is looking over one of the rocks.

David being a ham.

Alysa on top of the world. I love the sky in this picture.

David...

There are only a few trees up on top.

The weather finally let up and I got some pretty pictures.
This was a tiny tree growing out of one of the rocks.

The sun was just starting to set as we headed down.

Time to head home...

What a day!

What a fun day! I love the pictures of the cool scenery but especially my great family. Kirstie, you need to let someone else take YOUR pictures sometimes too!
