Eavesdropping

Today, I was out shopping with the girls. We were walking down one of the aisles and two ladies were standing there talking about their children and the differences between boys and girls. One of moms said, "Girls are just drama". I didn't know Ellie was listening when she exclaimed "GIRLS ARE NOT DRAMA!" We had already walked passed them and I didn't turn around to see if they had heard her but she got a laugh out of me. I thought was pretty funny that she was offended by their comment.

Later, we were looking for a new bathing suit for Rachel. Ellie wandered over to the training bras and picked one up. I told Ellie to put it back when she said "Why mom? I don't have big ones yet?" That was not the response I was expecting. I wish someone had taken a picture of my face at that moment. Oh Ellie...you are only 4! What will the teenage years bring?

She's so cute! They come up with the funniest things sometimes! I also wonder what life is going to be like in a decade... :)
